Welcome to the Iowa Statewide Resource Database for Social Services

The Iowa 2-1-1 system is dedicated to "build Iowa's capacity to strengthen the way Iowan's access health and engage in civilian life" by referring people to appropriate agencies and programs.

2-1-1 is the national abbreviated dialing code for free confidential access to health and human services information and referral. It is an easy to remember universal number for people to gain access to services without having to search them out on their own. Realizing people have a variety of means to seek out information, in addition to dialing 2-1-1, our database is available on this searchable website.

When you don't know where to turn for help, our Information and Referral Specialists are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. During 2008, the eight 2-1-1 Centers covering the state of Iowa answered more than 177,000 calls.

Mission: Build Iowa's capacity to strengthen the way Iowan's access health and engage in civilian life.

Vision: Every Iowan is able to access information and receive appropriate referrals to agencies and programs available to assist in their immediate needs.
